Should I Visit A Doctor About Sudden Dizziness, Sweating And Heart Racing Post Head Injury?

default
Posted on Sat, 5 Mar 2022
Question: Sudden dizziness, sweating and heart racing; has stopped but don't know if I should see an emergency facility or my doctor. I hit my forehead on the wall Sunday; don't know if this is related; have not had any nausea or dizziness until now. the symptoms went away quickly.

Brief Answer:
If you are fine ,may not need to go to ER but don't ignore it all.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Heart racing is pretty common and is mostly not a big issue. Howe've when heart racing is withoit any obvious causes and is associated with dizziness and sweating then we take it a bit more seriously and dint ignore it , though mostly its not serious .

Such things may indicate if there was some rhythm problem with the heart for a while (such thing happen commonly and mostly not serious but needs not to be ignored).
So if you are now fine and have no pain or breathing difficulty, and the racing is no more there; you may not need to visit ER but you should sometime see your doctor for a more detailed assessment of the event.

I just wonder to know as if any thing started this episode like if you took any medicine? or Alcohol, or any other drug, or if you missed any drug you were taking? that may help us understand it better.

I can't say if this could be related to the trauma you had on Sunday.

So if you are fine you may not take it as an emergency but don't ignore it all as, just to be very safe.

Hope it's clear now, please do not hesitate to ask any thing more you need to know.
