Question : Please tell me with surety and confirmation that if I have antibody titre value of 1.12iu\ml after having pre exposure rabies vaccine measured after 3 month post vaccine now it's 6 month!i want to know if I'm not bitten by any animal or scratch then this titre will protect me 1 year as I m doing vetnary?as daily saliva of unknown status of animals came in contact with hand and cloth and when again I need booster dose to maintain that level?

I understand your concern and situation.

I would like to tell you that pre-exposure vaccination is administered as one full dose of vaccine intramuscularly or 0.1 ml intra-dermally on days 0, 7 and either day 21 or 28. It is good that as you have high continuing risk of exposure you have taken it. The neutralising antibody titres checked every 6 months. As you have taken the titre at 3 months I would suggest you to get it repeated at 6 months again. If it is less than 0.5 IU/ml then a booster dose of vaccine should be taken. If you get an accidental bite you will require only two booster injections of vaccine given on days 0 and 3 without any anti-rabies serum/RIGs.
