Brief Answer:
Yes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your query.

You must get your hematoma checked by doctor especially orthopedic surgeon.

Hematoma in buttock region should not be ignored because many a times if its large than your fist area it may get infected. Then it is difficult to treat.

Get x-ray of pelvis with both hips in AP view and send me the report.

- Apply hot packs for 30 min in morning and evening .

I hope you have got your answer.

Thank you very much. I was not aware that it could get infected since I did not break the skin on the initial injury. I did go to the Urgent Care and was given an antibiotic for 10 days, as well as more specific instructions on how to prepare the warm packs. What I was doing was inadequate for the situation. I'm very glad I contacted you. Thanks again!
