Question : Hello Doctor,

I got my health check-up done and the reports says my HbA1C level is 5.7.
This is termed to be pre-diabetic, should i be worried ?

Hello ,

HBA1C of 5.7 is considered within normal limits and nothing to be worried. You may occasionally keep checking your fasting blood sugar levels from laboratory or with glucometer at home. This should help keep a record of blood sugar levels on long term basis. Meanwhile avoid foods that are sugary like soft drink, juices, sweets, icecreams, etc.
