Hi and welcome to HCM

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
For this kind of uterine disorder, hysterectomy is more reasonable approach and I dont expect that lupron could help with prolapsed and fibrous uterus. Lupron is hormonal therapy which can affect fibroid, decrease bleeding ,but it is hard to expect such significant effect on uterine prolaps and fibroid size, this is too optimistic scenario and there are no scientific evidence about it. It may sound logic that fibroid shrinking will cure prolaps, but pathopsychiologic mechanism of uterine prolapse is more complex. it depends on many other factors, not just presence of fibroids. Also, lupron treatment has more or less serious side effects.
Consideing all this, I think that hysteretomy is better option. Especially if we know how simple procedure it is today. it can be done laparosocpically and complications are rare. There are no permanent bad effects in perimenopause women, and even of you didnt go through MP, hormonal replacement therapy can reduce symptoms to minimum. Wish you good health. Feel free to ask. Regards

Ok, thank you! Now I need to decide if I should just wait to go through menopause and not have the hysterectomy.

I'm not in pain.
Is there any chance my prolapse will improve after menopause, to the point my uterus no longer extends from my body?

Do you think I'll stop bleeding eventually or will the fibroid continue to bleed after menopause?

Do you think if I wait it out - going through menopause -my situation overall will improve? Is it worth it to live with all this given the idea I'm eager to avoid an operation.
Is it possible I could have to wait until 58 to go through menopause since I'm still having periods and have only had hot flashes for about two months in the Spring during 2012, 2013 and 2014?

Brief Answer:
hi

Detailed Answer:
Generally, menopause causes decrease of uterus size, decrease of hormonal levels and it will lead to more or less improvement of your symptoms. bleeding will be lower for sure. As I said, uteine prolaps depends most on ligamentary uterine system so it is questionable will prolapse dissapear completely, probably not. but if this is just estetic problem for now, then it is not bad idea to wait and see will menopause have positive effect on your symptomatology. The only absolute indiaction for histerectomy is risk of malignancy or significant bleeding and you dont have it so of course, you dont have to rush with surgery, you have time to see and decide whatever you want.
