As long as BP remains normal, you can...

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well swimming is very relaxing and doesn't put stress on the body. Skipping ropes can be strenuous exercise and will involve BP fluctuations mainly rise in BP. However every patient's body will react differently to these exercises so cannot be said whether it will suit you or not. Regular BP monitoring will be highly advisable to you if you are planning to do it.

I would recommend YOGA and brisk walks for you rather than skipping rope.

Take care.

Hello Dr. XXXXXXX

Appreciate the quick response. Actually I love swimming and find walks a bit monotonous and boring and i keep doing intermittent breathing exercises even while sitting at my workstation.
So ropes out for now.
Will mix swimming yoga and bit of walks.
I do monitor my bp and at times doc asks me to skip cerain doses.

Thanks a lot.

Have a good day!!
