Brief Answer:
Bone injury needs to be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The pain in the heel that makes him cry out can be due to a bone injury in the heel area due to the impact of falling. It is best to get an X-ray of the area to rule out any fracture. In case there is only a soft tissue injury then rest and avoiding the painful activities should help. You can wrap an ace bandage around the area for support to the injured area. You can also give him a mild pain killer like Tylenol to help with the pain.

I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.

Wishing you good health.
Regards.
