Since Lastnight I%E2%80%99m Having Abdominal Pain In Upper Right Region

infection via pre formed toxin in food stuff.guidelines below.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.
* As per my clinical experience, current episode of abdomen pain with
diarrhea after dinner indicate intestine infection most likely due to some
bug ingested through food stuff which may be causing formation of some
sort of toxin responsible for intestine upset.
* Depending upon the clinical presentation and symptomatic severity, one
has to choose management option for ER visit.
* If the intensity of infection is not severe, frequency of diarrhea settles over
next 24 hours gradually, with following care
- plenty of liquids orally
- anti spasmodic as dicyclomine for spasm relief
- antacid as ranitidine for stomach upset control
- probiotics with lacto bacillus for supporting GI flora
- dietary measures to avoid spices, non veg, junk items
- add fresh yogurt in diet
- GI specific antibiotic as metronidazole may or may not be needed
* If the load of infection is high, condition continues despite above measures
and one has to seek for another options of care in hospital.
As a summary, I would recommend first option right now, wait for next 12- 24 hours as per the frequency of stool, pain and other features ; can decide very well accordingly.
Wish you best recovery.
Feel free to discuss further regarding the same.
Regards.

appendix problem is not likely in your case.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank for the follow up.
* Appendicitis pain usually present at middle of upper abdomen, shift to
area around umbilicus and localise to right lower abdomen once there is
peritoneal irritation by pathology.
This possibility does not sound with your case as history of pain after dinner, loose motions, absent vomiting and fever.
Continue current precautions and relieve your stressful thoughts of appendix problem.
Have a great day.
Regards.
