Brief Answer:
Is this your systolic blood pressure (top number)?

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using 'Ask a Doctor'. First I would like to know is this the top number, or the systolic blood pressure? Do you have any other medical conditions? How old are you? Male or female? Depending on what the average of your blood pressure has been, you may not need to start medications yet, and if your blood pressure gets down to 100, I would hesitate to start medications unless your blood pressure being that low was rare. For all patients with high blood pressure, regular exercise, low salt, heart healthy diet (such as DASH diet), and weight loss if you are overweight can help lower the blood pressure to a healthy level.

Please let me know if you can provide more information, and I would be glad to discuss this further with you and hopefully give more specific advice.
