Question : Hello doctor I am having cough for the last 4 days, but i dont feel cold, particularly during night time, one day i drank lemon juice at night on that day it started, but in day time im normal, can you please give me a solution

Brief Answer: Please meet your doctor! Detailed Answer: Hello Please dont worry!! Night time cough can be due to a few reasons First one may be due to bronchitis, or hyperactivity of your lower airway, which increases at night due to lower temperatures! Second reason may be due to an acid reflux, which will increase as a person lays down Third reason may be due to a sinus infection and discharge, which will trickle into the throat on lying down and cause the cough! You can be having any of these problems and i would like you to meet a doctor for examination and treatment! For the time being you can start steam inhalation 3-4 times a day, specially before sleeping. You can also try syrup benadryl 2 teaspoon two times a day, it will help. Thanks
