Brief Answer:
5 days of antibiotic

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
I am happy that you have improved. I suppose 5 days of antibiotic is fine.

Just take any cough syrup , as cough may persist for a week or two. You can take over the counter Benadryl syrup for dry cough.

Do steam inhalation and gargles.

This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.

Brief Answer:
5 days course is enough

Detailed Answer:
In my opinion, 5 days of antibiotics is fine. In case your doctor has found tonsillitis, then you may need 10 days of antibiotics.
If required, then the course should be completed.
In normal upper respiratory tract infection, 5 days of antibiotics is enough.

I hope it helps you.
