Hi,
Usually the problem with high viscosity is for the lab technician to interpret the semen analysis. Apparently it does not cause difficulty in conception by itself, and does not require treatment. Some people have tried medicines like N-Acetyl cysteine with anecdotal reports of utility.
Good labs which specialize in reporting semen have chemicals to enhance liquefaction and can give an accurate report.
So if the reporting has not been done at a lab that specializes in reporting semen or one dealing with infertility, it might not be a bad idea to repeat the semen analysis elsewhere after the appropriate abstinence period.
Regards and best wishes.
