Started Taking Telmisartan And Amlodipine. Get Checked For Bp Reading. Is The Value Normal?

Question : as advised by you on 4 apr 13, I am taking telmisartan 40& amlodipine 5 twice daily.since then my bp readings are 135/80, 130/90, 130/90. is it ok?

Dear friend,

It is nearly two weeks after this...
The systolic (upper figure) is well controlled - 130 is good
The diastolic (lower figure) is still at upper limits - 80 is good; at times, it is 90..

See for another week / If the diastolic is still at 90 - CHANGE...
Reduce amlodipine dose to once; 5 mg // Add Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg

Telmisartan 80 mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg + amlodipine 5 mg ...
ONE TABLET ONCE A DAY \\
The combination is available as a single tablet \\ example = TELMA -AMH \\ this is from Glenmark (Zoltan) company \\ [Make sure of the composition - many have only 40 mg] \\ There might be some more companies...
