Question : Hi, I'm a 23 year old female, generally healthy and fit (gym 4 times a week). Last night had severe stomach cramps, then been very gassy all day. Now have severe diarrhea and extremely sensitive skin, abdominal stabbing cramps and all body aches.

Hello;
Thanks for your query.
Since you have severe diarrhoea,abdominal pain and body ache it seems you have got a bacterial infection of stomach and intestine.
Commonly caused due to infection through contaminated food or water.
I would suggest you to consult a doctor and get antibiotics prescribed for treating the infection.
Your doctor may prescribe you antibiotics like metronidazole and ofloxacin if needed and you should become fine.
Till then you should :-
-Try to have more liquids orally,
-It will be advisable to use electrolytes with water to help maintain electrolyte balance,
-If you have temperature along with bodyache then you can take a tablet of Tylenol(Paracetamol) to get relief.
Early treatment will help recover faster and avoid dehydration.
