I've been experiencing small but sharp, inconsistent pain in my stomach for about two days now. when my stomach is empty, i get these sharp pains for about 2-3 seconds and then it's gone, when I move too quickly it happens, and when I sit down it sometimes occurs. Nothing else is wrong, just stomach pains. I'm not eating as much either because I don't feel like it, but after I eat the pain is gone (full stomach).
The stomach pains that you are having apparently started recently.
This seems to be intermittent as well. The fact that you get the pain
when your stomach is empty and is relieved by food intake is somewhat
suggestive of a beginning ulcer in the duodenum. It is possible that
your problem could have been related to something that you ate or
drank. Excess drinking of alcohol, eating very spicy foods, also foods
that have high acidity like tomato based products, cheeses etc. can
make your stomach produce more acid and cause the lining to be
inflammed called "Gastritis". I would recommend that you try
over the counter Omeprazole 20 mg. a day about an hour before
your main meal, and stay on this for 4-6 weeks. If you get complete
relief, you are O.K. If no relief and the pain becomes more constant,
consult your doctor for a proper referral to a specialist.
Wish you well,
