Question: Suddenly developed back pain and it went severe so took medications and when had an x-ray it shown L4,L5,L5,S1 disc spaces are reduced usually i sit for a long time in chair for office work suggest medication,Rest and can I go to office as the pain is still severe if not how many months I have to take rest

Hi,
Kindly get the MRI LS spine to know the exact disc impaction on the spinal nerves.

If nerve indentation is found then you'll need treatment and physiotherapy along with few days rest
The pain will not be reduced only by rest.
