Suffering From Mouth Ulcer. Applying Smiley Ointment. Is This Cold Related Problem? Medication For Permanent Cure?

Question: Hi Doctor,
My wife is suffering from mouth ulcer. Is this cold related problem?. It's just below the tounge nad she is getting bit frequently now. She is applying there the Smiley ointment. Is this deficiency of some vitamin. If so, could you please suggest what vitamin or food needed for her. What kind of medication/life style needed for the permanenet cure of this disease.

Hi

Recurrent oral ulcers usually are due to vitamin deficiency and most of the times secondary to gastrointestinal disturbances

Add a good amount of fiber in her diet and a tablet of folic acid once daily for four to seek weeks

If she has no GI symptoms this should work , if she has any GI symptom we will need to treat her accordingly
