Brief Answer:
She needs in patient facility

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic. I, Dr Abhishek Kapoor, would help you in this query.

I think, your daughter has anorexia nervosa and in that case, you should consult a psychiatrist for her proper treatment. She needs in patient facility for anorexia nervosa and for physical symptoms. She needs antidepressant and psychotherapy in form of cognitive behavioral therapy. Both would help you to control her symptoms. In eating disorder, patients do not get improvement immediately, so you have to be patient in her case.

If you have more query, you can ask.

She as been seeing a psyciatrist at all the facilities, food specialists, counselors & they all say she needs 24 hr in patient treatment but the Ins says they will no longer pay for anything. In patient therapy is $30,000 a month and none of us can afford that. I'm open to any suggestions Doctor. She is slowly slipping away before our eyes.

Brief Answer:
Try to treat her at home.

Detailed Answer:
HI

In that case, you can try to get her treated at home. Try to make all facility available at home. You can talk to her psychiatrist about her treatment plan and give her medicine at home. Try to follow dietitian plan and give her food forcefully at home. This is the only solution in her case. If you can't afford the treatment facility, then try to give same facility at home. In that way, she would get some benefit.

If you have more query, you can ask.
