Question : My husband has a fever, we think it's a reaction to taking a sulfa drug. He has only taken 2 doses. He has then taken ibuprofen for the fever. Is this ok. He will probably not take another dose of the sulfa medication and will call the doctor tomorrow.

He will need tylenol which is a fever reducer as opposed to ibuprofen

Welcome to HCM: I would stop the antibiotic as you have stated but then he will need Tylenol for fever reduction, Ibuprofen is not as efficacious as Tylenol in fever reduction, I would call your doctor tomorrow and they may just be able to call in another antibiotic for you to pick up than making another appointment to see them.
