Brief Answer:
Zocor (Simvastatin)
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
You need to continue Zocor (Simvastatin),a lipid lowering drug at the prescribed dosage for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease.
Dosage-ADULTS: PO 5 to 40 mg/day in evening
You will be ok but withdrawal of lipid lowering agent will lead to elevated lipid level including LDL, bad cholesterol. In fact any dosage alteration has to be done at 04 weeks interval.
