Suggest Alternative Medication For Zoloft

Question : i am very depressed. i am taking 50 mlg of SOLOFT prescribed by the DR.
hoever, I do not see any improvement.
i have 3 stage kidney illness
please advise

I am so sorry to hear about this depression. Though Zoloft is a good drug for depression, it can take several week before it starts working fully with remarkable benefits. I will like to know for how long you have been using this see if the window period for full blown action has been reached or not. If it has been reached, then I will recommend that we try other medications that are equally proven to be effective for depression that may be more helpful in your case.

I have been taking it for five days. I think it is too soon, however do you suggest another drug that can help me in less time.

This is a very short time and for real this medication is not yet functioning at its full potential. Exercise patients as we need averagely eight weeks before making any huge adjustments.
