Suggest Alternative Medication For Autism Spectrum
Question: My daughter is on autism spectrum ,was taking Tegretol , that helped her with speech and cognitive skills but Dr stopped her medicine because she developed vomiting. Doctor . put her on Risperdal but I don,t see the same results. Should I give her more time is 0.5 mg in two doses am,HS. She's been on it for 2 weeks. She also gets stuck on her thoughts.

I would like to know a few more things. I understand that your daughter was on Tegretol. But I would need to know - for how long? Furthermore, please mention the duration of vomiting and whether it was concurrent with that of taking Tegretol? Was there any particular reason for suspecting that Tegretol was the cause of vomiting.
Unless the vomiting can be assigned to some other cause, if it can be controlled by some means or the other, I would suggest switching back to Tegretol since it is more important in attaining the desired actions first. I think that you should take more time and observe about the vomiting.
I could not understand the last part of your question. Do you mean to ask whether you should give the dose divided into two? I will await your response.
