I fell and got a concussion in May. Lately I have been very anxious and depressed. I have been on 40 mg of celexa few quite a few years and now it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I never really had bad anxiety before but have it now. There has been quite a few big changes in my life tho the last few months also.
Other treatment ways should be considered.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Celexa is used to treat mainly major depression disorder and since it is not working, other possible treatments should be considered.
In my opinion, your anxiety and stress disorder is related to both, concussion (post traumatic stress disorder) and big changes in your life that happened lately.
Other possible treatment ways to deal with your concerns include psychotherapy (cognitive therapy) and antidepressant drugs such Zoloft, Paxil etc.
If you suffer from insomnia too, Prazosin may be used too.
Discuss with your Doctor about above mentioned issues and drug prescription.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Greetings.
