Question : I have tested positive to H.Pylori and have been prescribed Nexium Hp7. I had side effects to Nexium when used previously. Why is Nexium prescribed and Is it necessary to take the Nexium with this treatment? Is there an alternative to Nexium.

Hello,
Nexium (Esomeprazole) is prescribed as a part of treatment to eradicate H pylori infection.
It is an essential part of the treatment.
In case you are not able to tolerate nexium due to side effects the medium component can be replaced by pantoprazole.
Consult your doctor regarding the same
