Suggest Alternative To Hydromorphone For Chronic Pain

Question: I suffer with chronic pain. I have been on hydromorphone but it gives me anxiety and depressed. Would there be another drug that would not do this. Example ... Demerol?

There are drugs like
1. Methadone 5 mg 8th hourly or

2. Tapentadol 75 mg 8th hourly.
These drugs are good analgesics and do not have such side effects.
