Dear
Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern

1. Avoid phenylalanine derived food which may trigger/mimic fibromyalgia symptoms: meat, eggs, fish, cheese, products containing aspartame, almonds, beef, legumes, nuts, peanuts, pork, pumpkin/sesame seeds, soyabean/flour.

2. Fibromyalgia is not an inflammatory condition [thus turmeric is beneficial], and because there is no identifiable cause thus treatment is symptomatic, as a result both pharmacological and non pharmacological measures are used as adjuvant to get a good control of pain and extended symptom free period, such as:

. Relaxation and stress management [stress is trigger response to fibromyalgia symptoms], thus yoga & Pranayama are helpful

. Physiotherapy: wax massage, ultrasound/infra red technique to minimize pain.

. Diet rich in omega 3 is considered helpful in alleviating fibromyalgia symptoms.

. In Ayurveda we consider/manage the disease under 'Mans-Medo Gat Vaat', thus prescription medicines available are: chandraprabha vati, navak guggulu, trifla kwath, panchskar churan, navkarshik guggulu.

PS. you may opt for DLPA (D-L-phenylalanine) which is not habit forming, and has no known side effects, and is available in health food stores.

Dear
Thanks for reverting back

1. Propranolol although is not indicated to treat pain but low dose propranolol can regulate the adrenergic dysfunction and reduce pain in people with chronic musculoskeletal pain

2. Lyrica [pregabalin], duloxetine both are used to relieve nerve pain [peripheral neuropathy] in conditions like diabetes, fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic back pain.

3. As said earlier that treatment is mainly symptomatic thus continue with the medicine(s) which your Doctor has prescribed

4. You can check online availability of those medicine(s) and order then and there only.
You can get them on: XXXXXXX com where you can buy chandraprabha vati, and search for turmeric curcumin complex with bioperine black pepper extract [helix health store] and senna plus natural vegetable laxative with stool softener.
