Question : Doctor, got recurring apthous ulcer in oral cavity especially on tongue, took vermisol 150mg, oraways cream.

In this website, one Dr advised Ranitidine 150 mg, along with Acevit | AtoZ ...

No improvement...

Pl suggest alternative medicine.

Very painful.

I have read your query and understand your pain and discomfort . As far as recurring apthous ulcer is concerned see generally apthous ulcers are due to benign cause like Stress , Nutritional deficiency , Anxiety , Improper sleep . Can you attach a image of tongue that will be more helpful for me to arrive at conclusion and suggest you proper measures.

Based on details provided I shall suggest you few measures that might help you and heal ulcer :
- Maintain proper oral hygiene . Use tongue scraper to clean your tongue .
- Avoid hot and spicy food and frizzy drinks .
- Apply ointment containing lignocaine and choline salicylate on ulcer 3 to 4 times a day .
- You can take medicine containing Vitamin B with folic acid . You can also take medicne like Tablet Metronidazole and Capsule Lycopene twice daily for additional help .
- For pain you can take Analgesic like Tylenol or Ibugesic plus .

I have gone through the images you have attached . As far as I have observed you have minor Apthous ulcers . Dont be worried so much. Follow these measures suggested and take proper medication . If ulcers lasts for more than one week then I will suggest you to consult Oral surgeon for clinical examination and investigation like Biopsy to rule out cause .

As lycopene is not available see XXXXXXX Lycopene is Antioxidant Tablets .So you can take Lycored or Himalaya Oxitard Medicine twice daily by consulting with local doctor .
