Question : I HAVE RIED MANY ANTIDEPRESSANTS OVER THE YEARS ALL HAVE LED TO SEXUAL DYSFUNCION CAN YOU SUGEST ONE I COULD TRY I ALSO TAKE SODIUM VALPORATE

I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Looking at the symptoms and query, my opinion is as follows:

1. For anti-depressant with less sexual dysfunction - Bupropion or duloxetine can be tried. These drugs are known to have less effect.

2. Along with any present anti-depressants, Burpropion if added, is commonly known to improve sexual dysfunction symptoms.

3. Sodium valproate is known to affect dosage of all drugs taken, so adjustment will be necessary.

All are prescription drugs. You need to take prescription from your doctor and adjustment of dosage should gradual.
