Question: I'm 26,recently married, looking for birth control option,I have acne prone skin and i would like an option which is minimally hormonal and doesn't aggravate my acne.I'm allergic to latex condoms and not interested in Copper T.At present we are practising withdrawal method but it does worry me since it is not 100% safe.Do you recommend withdrawal? What else do you suggest as a good option besides this?

Brief Answer:
Suggest XXXXXXX or other similar brands.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
Thank you for the detailed updates.
I think for you the best option is the newer pill that contains drospirenone, a pill that is actually beneficial for women with acne.
And no, I would not recommend withdrawal method at all, as it is not safe, and has a high failure rate ( high risk of unintentional pregnancy ).
Brands are - XXXXXXX Yaz, Rasmin, XXXXXXX
Look for a pill containing drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol ( whatever brand is available in your local pharmacy ).
Try it out for atleast 3 months before deciding if you wish to continue it and it is beneficial for acne breakouts.
Take care.
