Brief Answer:
Psyllium powder (Metamucil) can help you

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

A fiber supplement, such as psyllium powder (Metamucil) or methylcellulose (Citrucel), can help relieve mild to moderate diarrhea by adding bulk to your stool. For more severe diarrhea, loperamide (Imodium) may be effective.

There's no firm evidence that what you eat causes inflammatory bowel disease. But certain foods and beverages can aggravate your symptoms, especially during a flare-up. It's a good idea to try eliminating from your diet anything that seems to make your signs and symptoms worse. Here are some suggestions:

Taking specific nutritional supplements, including possibly vitamin and mineral supplements, Avoiding greasy or fried foods, Avoiding cream sauces and meat products,      Avoiding spicy foods, Avoiding foods high in fiber, such as nuts and raw fruits and vegetables, Eating smaller, more frequent meals.
If you begin to lose weight or your diet has become very limited, talk to a registered dietitian.

Hope this guides you. If you have any other queries, you can write to us. i would be happy to answer you.
Thank you.

Thanks for your reply doctor. while we were awaiting your response, we also consulted a local gastroenterology specialist and he has prescribed the following medication for the next 3 weeks :MATIZ SR - MEBEVERINE HYDROCHOLRIDE I.P - 200 MG

Already taking psyllium powder twice daily with curd and had tried lomotil , however not effective.

Kindly suggest if we should initiate MATIZ SR - MEBEVERINE HYDROCHOLRIDE I.P - 200 MG course for 3 weeks or go with Eldoper / loperamide or do both together.

Abdomen ultrasound was done yesterday and all vitals are found to be normal as per the report.

much appreciate your guidance.

Brief Answer:
Initiate with mebeverine hydrochloride.

Detailed Answer:
Hi mam,

My suggestion is to start taking the prescribed drug now and complete the course for 3 weeks, it mostly works.

Make Eldoper/ loperamide the next choice if this fails only. But mostly the above prescribed drug solves the problem.

Hope this guides you. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health.
Thank you.
