Question : Is 600mg daily a safe dosage for amiodorone and is there another medicine that shows more success than this drug?

Hello,

600mg per day is OK . Higher doses can be used sometimes. The usual maintenance dosage is 400mg per day. Amiodarone may promote cardioversion, so this is something that differentiates it from other potential options (beta blockers for example). Is your rhythm normal right now? Have you received anticoagulation?

On Eliquis two times a day. Out normal rhythm for 6 days . When taking 600 mg is it better to take 3 tabs twice a day or 2btabs 3 times a day?

Can be taken once or twice a day

Divided doses are prescribed when the total dose is very high (not your case that is) or when the drug causes gastrointestinal disturbances. Taking it twice a day is OK.
