Question : Respected Sir,

After 4 Month course of below medicine & by viewing of my regular B.P monitoring data [ERITEL-CH 40 (MORNING) & ZAPIZ-0.5 (NIGHT) ,PROLOMET AM 50 (NIGHT)] . My doctor reduce ZAPIZ 0.5 to half.

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

You are on Tab.Eritel-CH 40 ( Telmisartan40 mg,Chlorthalidone 6.25 mg) 1 tab. in the morning and Tab.Prolomet AM 50 (Metoprolol 50 mg +amlodipine 5 mg)1 tab. at night to control your BP.
Tab.Eritel-CH 40 contains diuretic Chlorthalidone and hence given in the morning so that sleep is not disturbed.
Tab.Prolomet AM 50 contains beta- blocker Metoprolol and hence it is given at bed-time as the beta-blocker is best administered at night time.
Tab Zapiz 0.5 contains clonazepam and it should be taken as minimum effective dose-hence the dose has been reduced to half or 0.25 mg ,as it may cause dependence.
