Question : I am taking Finasteride 5mg to hopefully reduce the size of my prostate. Is this a drug that i will take forever? If not what is the general length of time it is taken? Thank you!

when finasteride is used for enlarged prostate patients will generally take this for an extended period of time. each individual patient is unique.
In my experience patients will generally take this medication for at least a few months. If symptoms improve the medication may be discontinued for a period of time. If symptoms return however this would be an indication to take the finasteride for the long-term.
