Thanks for the query.
I have read your query.
The generic name for FLAGYL is METRONIDAZOLE.
The usual adult oral dose of metronidazole is 7.5 mg per kg of body weight every 6 hourly.
Or alternatively we can give...
500 - 750 mg three times a day.
Dose of 750 mg three times a day is given for 5-10 days in acute intestinal amebiasis while a dose of 500-750 mg three times a day for 5-10 days is given in amoebic liver abscess.
