Brief Answer:
Try Meftal P instead

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through the details and understand your concern. Most often such symptoms are due to viral infections and antibiotics are ineffective in such cases.

If your child has fever with temperature more than 100°F, you need to give paracetamol or acetaminophen (P-250, Crocin or Tylenol) to it bring down. The next step would be to give Ibugesic (ibuprofen). Ibugesic Plus contains both paracetamol and ibuprofen. Rather than using it, or if it is not effective in bringing down the temperature, you need to use Meftal-P (mefenamic acid) which is more effective. Ibugesic Plus should not be given in durations lesser than 6 hours.

Let me know if I could help further.

And also replace ibugesic it with your suggested medial p ?

I will consult my doctor in the morning with your suggestions.

Do you suggest any antiviral medicine ?

Brief Answer:
Not needed.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. No antiviral is needed. Irrespective of treatment it would show recovery in 5-7 days.
