Suggest Dosage For Klonopin

Question : I usually take 1mg of klonopin once a day. I went off of it for a month. Today, a month later, I just took 1mg. Should I be okay? Did my tolerance go down in a month? Should I have cut the pill in half ?

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Klonopin is Clonazepam. It is an anti anxiety drug of benzodiazepine group. Tolerability develops on Chronic use. Since you left it a month ago and have taken 1 mg if it now , you will be all right. You may just feel sedation. So you should take it initially in night time. If you feel excessive sedation you may take 0.5 mg of it from tomorrow.
Yes, reliability reduces when you give a gap of 1 month but this dose is not going to harm you other then causing excessive sedation.
My most important concern is that you should take these Medicines only under guidance of your doctor as these drugs have high abuse potential.
