Question : I've been taking 20mg of lexapro at night and it seems like it doesn't work but I switch to mornings and I think it's working better .Why would that be?
Brief Answer:
The cause is not known
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
Although the cause for relative efficacy is not known but it has been shown that about 60% of patients perform better with morning dose of lexapro and remaining 40% do well with evening dose. This is possible as everyone have have different set of biological characteristics and respond differently.
In my opinion if you are having better response with morning dose it can be shifted at morning from current schedule.
I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

I think I know why my antidepressant wasn't working my test for candida and hployri came back positive ..Could this be the culprit because before I had no problem at all with paxil alone.
Brief Answer:
Not much relationship
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
Candida and H pylori infections are not known to interfere with action of lexapro directly.
However it is possible that chronic infection maintained the depression leading to feeling that lexapro is not working.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards.
