Question : My daughter has has chicken pox she is 10 they have giving her loratadine for the itching but have said she only needs 5mg could i give her 10mg.I think 5mg is not enough as she is 10 and 5mg is 2 to 5

The recommend dose of loratidine is 5 mg for body weight below 30 kg and 10 mg for body weight above 30 kg. However, it would not matter if you give 10 mg to your child. The maximum possible side effect would be increased sleepiness.
