Suggest Dosage For Neurontin

Question: Whatis maximum dosage of neurontin? Iam 66 years old and in ggod kidney ad liver health. I have been themed for six years for fibromyalgia. I now have severe sciatica in left buttock. Nearly fell yesterday and exacerbated it. I presently take 300 mg. TID . I am an RN.

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well in neuralgic pain it can be given from 1800 mg to 3600 mg daily . But starting dose will be titrated slowly and in most cases 1800 mg given in 3 divided doses is enough .

Thank you. I currently take 300mg. 100 in AM and 300PM. I want to add a noon or midday dose of 300mg until this severe sciatica subsides.

You can do that but you need to look for side effects . Just keep a watch for dizziness and nausea , some people develop it as we increase the dose . But if you can tolerate its fine .
