Suggest Dosage For Neurontin
Question: I am very sensitive to meds. I have been rx 100mg neurotin. Capsal.
Can i open the capsal and empty some of the powder inside to make it maybe 50mg, to try for the first couple nights so then its so low of a dose i wont have to worry about side effects.
Then once i know im ok i will take full capsal.

Second , you cannot possibly measure the powder down to exact 50 percent.
Third , it would be a sub therapeutic dose. so there will be no significant effect.
fourth, side effect may not be present if you take low dose.
Having said that , you can always try the reduced dose.
You may buy the syrup of the same medicine.
Usually , this contains 50 mg per 1 ml. It has a total of 5 ml usually.
Try this if you do want to go ahead with your plans to try a lower dose first.
Do let your treating doctor know about your plans since I am unaware why you are on the medicine.
