Suggest Dosage For Ondem Syrup

Question: Hi Doctor, my child (6.5 years old) vomited last night. We gave him Ondem syrup 6 ml (Emeset was not available with chemist). Should we continue with the same or switch to Emeset. Also, if we continue, given my child's age, what should be the dosage? Please advise. Thank you, XXXX

Hi....

1. Ondem and Emeset are same... Drug us ondanisetron.

2. Dose us 5ml thrice a day, 30 minutes before feeds, if vomiting.

Hi.....its not about how many days please. Its only symptomatic treatment.

You need to give the medicine only if the kid is vomiting. Otherwise you can avoid it.
