Question : I have an addiction problem with oxycodone and I am getting help but tonight I took 45mg of oxycodone and last night I took 50mg I average around 35mg a day for the past 12 days. I am going to a rehab program next week but I am worried what I have taken tonight is to much and I am worried about my health, I am unable to get to a hospital so please let me know if I will be okay. and thank you, the journey to being addiction free starts with small steps and this is one of them for me. I am a 30 year old male 5 foot 10 inches 260 lbs. I also take 20mg of lexapro a day for deppression, and have been prescribed oxycodone 5mg ir 3x a day for over a year and a half.
Brief Answer:
take prescribed dose only
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing to us.
As such 50 mg is not high dose. But do not take the dose more than the prescribed. You can quit the drug if your motivation is good. Inform your doctor what dose you have actually taken. At present you can reduce 5 mg every second day until you can reach prescribed dose. Continue lexapro as it is.
Seeing your motivation and desire I think you can deaddict yourself at rehab centre.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Dr.Chintan Solanki.
