Suggest Dosage For Tylenol

Question: I regularly take 3000 mg of Tylenol daily. I am a 165 lb male in his mid 80's. What is considered the maximum I could
Brief Answer:
3000mg is ok for most patients
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
the maximum (safe) daily dose is 4000mg. No more than 1000mg have to be taken each time and at least 4 hours have to pass before another dose is taken. Tylenol is relatively safe even in patients with renal disease but the intervals of doses should be a little higher (preferably 8 hours). In severe liver disease I would advise patients to avoid taking it but if they had to take it, they should take a lower daily dose (up to 3000mg). The last one is not a well documented guideline. It's just a safety measure.
