Suggest Dosage For Urocol

Your doctor has given it to reduce liver enzyme levels
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. The medicine URSOCOL tab 300 contains ursodeoxycholic acid. It is usually prescribed to dissolve gall stones and to prevent formation of stones in patients who have a tendency. It is also for those who have recent weight loss and in them it avoids gall stones by reducing the cholesterol rich bile acid.
2. It also reduces the level of liver enzymes. If prescribed for 15 days then it not likely to cause any adverse effects. However if you develop diarrhoea, pruritus, nausea and vomiting then stop the medicine and talk to your doctor. It should not be prescribed for longer duration if there is no significant liver or gall stone problem
3. Your doctor has prescribed it probably to reduce liver enzyme levels.
Hope your query is answered.
Please write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
