Question : I am on blood thinners but for some reason when I go to get my pt/inr done my readings don't go up even if I'm taking Double dose of 4mg warfarin?
Brief Answer:
This can happen sometimes
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Warfarin is a difficult drug to adjust doses. Dose varies from person to person, depends on intake of green vegetables, other drugs, etc. So we have to increase the dose gradually and check INR regularly till the desired effect is achieved.
In you probably a higher dose is required. Also check for any other conflicting drugs.
Hope this helps.
