Suggest Dosage Of Melzap

Question: My wife is having accuse breathing trouble right now. Last time when same problem happened then my physician told about asthama and he had given melzap 0.5 mg and she had felt better that time Can I give her one dose right now for relief. Doctor has also gave rotacap. Please suggest for melzap.

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.

Mezlap is having clonazepam. It is sedative drug and not used in asthma or similar symptoms. So please don't give this to her. It will cause more damage.

Rotacaps can be given. But I insist you to first take her to pulmonologist and get done
1. Chest x ray
2. PFT (pulmonary function test)

And diagnose her first. If it is asthma than regular treatment with inhaled bronchodilators is needed.

So at present don't give Mezlap, Rotacaps can be given , but better to consult pulmonologist first. Though I am not sure how bad is the breathing trouble.
