This has happened to me a year ago and my doc had prescribed meprate. After which i got my periods. I usually get my periods once in 45 days but for last three months i haven't got. Should I have the meprate? If so for how many days ? I have PCOD
Brief Answer:
Tablet meprate for five days.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
I can understand your concerns,
To get period I advise you to take tablet meprate 10mg for 5days (prescription drug) under your doctor supervision. You will get period after 2-3days of stopping tablet.
And to regularise period, I suggest that you should take birth control pills for three months( prescription drug).consult your gynecologist.
For PCOD, you also need to change in your lifestyle like healthy diet and daily exercise including brisk walk for 10mins.it will help in regulating menses.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask further.
Thanks

Should I take meprate twice a day or one tablet ? Is it mandatory to take birth control pill to get my next period or meprate would help to get my next period if I do regular exercise. I have started walking n jogging everyday for last 15 days..
Brief Answer:
Twice a day. you should take birth control pills.
Detailed Answer:
You should take tablet meprate twice a day.
Tablet meprate helps in getting period every month where as birth control pills will help in regularizing period so I would suggest that you should do three months course of birth control pills.
Exercise will surely help in decreasing PCOD symptoms but medical treatment is necessary as you are suffering from it since one year.
Hope it helps.
Feel free to ask any query.
Thanks.
