obtaining from plant source is the best option
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
GGT can be increased in a dose response manner with alcohol intake and is also affected by meat intake.
Though you do not use a lot of alcohol, if the amount that you do use at the moment is decreased, it would help to improve GGT and prevent any changes to the liver.
There was a medical study, published in 2004 (can be provided if which to take a look) that concluded that micronutrients in supplements have a positive effect of GGT.
This means that they found that when these micronutrients were obtained from supplements, the GGT increased. Strangely they found that getting some of these directly from a plant source (eg vitamin c, carotene, folate) , lowered GGT.
This study also showed that the levels of GGT were higher in persons with a low fruit intake, so increasing your use of fruit may help
Summary: (1) using a wide range of fruits and vegetables would help
(2)decreasing alcohol intake would also play a major role in preventing liver disease
(3)increased ggt also can also occur with meat
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
