                                    Brief Answer:
Initial weight reduction is normal
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your query.
I can understand your concern.
Initial weight reduction of newborns are very normal.
You need not worry for this for at least two weeks.
If your breast has sufficient milk , he will start gaining weight after about ten days, though it may vary, (2-3 days only.),You need not add any thing till then.
It is said that about 7% weight loss is normal.
If more than that you need to consult doctor for your milk production.
Hope I have answered your query.
If any thing else you are welcome.
Good luck.

                                    Brief Answer:
On you lap, keep head end up.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Feed your baby always on your lap and keep his head up than neck and trunk of the body. This as simple as that.
Feed her every two hourly, plus minus 10-15 minutes does not make much difference.
Always give him burp position after feed.He may take out some milk with burp, that is normal.
Hope I have answered your query.
