Brief Answer:
Food helpsindirectly. Weight loss basically helps.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Arthritis is a pain challenging for both patient and doctor as it is managed and not cured most of the time.

Regarding the foods , yes they help but indirectly. Its basically the weight gain that worsens arthritis. So food intake and food utilization balance should be kept and preferring food like low carb high protein can be used to lose weight and thus help the arthritis pain. Its basically the weight management.

Activities matter more than food. Choose the right kinds of activities — those that build the muscles around your joints but don't damage the joints themselves. A physical or occupational therapist can help you develop an exercise program that's right for you.
Focus on stretching, range-of-motion exercises and gradual progressive strength training.
Include low-impact aerobic exercise, such as walking, cycling or water exercises, to improve your mood and help control your weight.

Stay compliant with medications. Neither over use it nor underuse it. Also focus on pain as pain leads to depression. Get a psychotherapy sessions , Cognitive behavioural therapy , acupressure all of them show benefits.

Nutshell, its a complete diet and lifestyle modifications. Food helps but only in the concept of weight loss and not in the sense of specific avoidance and preference of foods. So is true regarding water.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Regards
Khan
